Apple usually rolls out a major iOS update every year across all its devices. The company is said to roll out most anticipated feature in this year’s iOS update i.e. to bring an ability to run your iPad apps on your iMac. According to Bloomberg, “Apple is still on track to let you use iOS apps on your Mac with this new iOS 12 update.”

After several issues in iOS 11 reported last year, Apple has decided to release a stable update this year focusing on the issues and performance, instead of adding new features. This isn’t the first time that Apple is trying to focus on performance update rather than new features, the company has done this previously on its iOS 9 update. iOS 11 update was a major overhaul last year which brought AR features and also native support to AR applications. Few of the major features like Files app and business-user enhancements for the iPad.

Apple has decided to delay some key features originally planned for this fall’s update, which include redesigned Home screen and revamping of Photos application. These features may come to life in the next year’s iOS update which may be iOS 13. The company has also delayed some of its iOS 11 updates announced last year such as synchronisation of texts with all Apple devices via iCloud and Apple Pay Cash transfer within your contacts via iMessages.

Regardless of these delays, Apple is planning to launch few of its new features such as an update to FaceTime video calling service, monitoring your kid’s app applications and the feature all of us been waiting for which allows the user to run their iPad apps on their Macs’ and iMacs’. This allows users to have access to some of the productive apps which might run on their desktop iMacs’ as well.
