The 2018 Sensors Expo and Conference is about a month away, and Olea Sensor Networks is gearing up with plans to demo its latest biometric sensor offerings.
One of them is OSN Quadcorder, a wearable device announced toward the end of last year that is capable of monitoring cardiac and respiration signals without physical contact with the user’s skin. The device is compact and light enough that it can be worn in a shirt pocket or on a lanyard, opening up new possibilities in remote care and patient monitoring, as well as fitness tracking.
The company will also demo its OleaVision solution. Announced earlier this year, it’s a wireless device designed to be stowed in a car or other vehicle to detect the presence of any living thing – a child or a pet, for example – and to alert the vehicle’s driver of those in their care are leaving the vehicle. Even if the caretaker takes no action, the solution can automatically alert emergency services about what’s happening. And Olea is hinting that this system may have undergone an upgrade since it was first unveiled, asserting in a press release that the “next gen version” of it “addresses a variety of in-vehicle, industrial and security applications.”
The 2018 Sensor Expo will be held at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California, from June 26th to June 28th. Olea Sensor Networks will showcase its solutions from booth #535, and will offer private demos and meetings by appointment, throughout the event.
