The Android Oreo rollout for the Samsung Galaxy S7 has been slow. The Exynos models started receiving the update in February, then unlocked models started getting it last month in the UK. Carrier models in the U.S. have been lagging far behind (unsurprisingly). AT&T and Verizon are finally rolling out the update to devices, according to users in our forums.
Verizon has started and halted the update a few times, but it appears to finally be, well, final. Software version G930VVRU4CRE5 for the Galaxy S7 and G935VVRU4CRE5 for the S7 Edge are rolling out. AT&T is also rolling out the update. Build number G93xAUCU4CRE4 is available for both Galaxy S7 variants.
This update is pretty big in download size and number of new features. Here are all of the new features that Verizon lists in the official changelog.
