Gaya: A teenager who was apparently unwell after getting a thrashing from his teacher for incomplete homework died in the school bus on his way back home.
The incident was reported in a private school located in Rasalpur locality of Gaya district where four students were punished by a teacher.
Of these, one Krish Prakash reported severe complications and apparently fainted in the school bus on his way back home. The doctors pronounced him brought dead to the utter dismay of the unsuspecting family. Gaya City SP Rakesh Kumar told Times Now that the body was sent for autopsy and that justice will be done.
The incident has triggered reactions across the political spectrum with the opposition simultaneously blaming the school management and district administration.
RJD spokesperson Ejaz Ahmad expressed anguish over the death of a Class VIII kid following corporal punishment and questioned the role of school administration in this regard.
Congress spokesperson Asit Nath Tiwari slammed district administration and school management for laxity while pointing towards the possibility of a major conspiracy behind the incident.
