Java Grill opened on King Street Friday, taking over the space where Bread & Chocolate cafe was located, at 611 King St. Bread & Chocolate had been there since the late 1970s.
The new Java Grill offers coffee, rolled gelato, warm French pastries and a wide variety of breakfast items. Also on the menu: bistro salads, soups and flatbreads. (See the full menu here.)
According to the Java Grill website, the new restaurant “is managed by entrepreneurs, parents, and coffee/gelato enthusiasts who are excited to bring you an unforgettable experience. We want to build a safe social zone for children and adults alike to hang out while drinking coffee or eating gelato.”
